American Football’s top line-up Trevor Lawrence is known to have signed a partnership with Blockfolio which is a subsidiary of FTX.
Trevor Lawrence who is expected to be the No. 1 in National Association Football (NFL) in this week’s 2022 Draft confirmed to go into crypto through its partnership with Blockfolio. Lawrence has signed a multi-million dollar multi-year endorsement deal with Blockfolio, a crypto portfolio tracking app that was acquired by crypto exchange FTX last year.
“I am very excited to be joining the Blockfolio team, when it comes to my crypto portfolio, I want a long term partner in a place I can trust,” said Trevor Lawrence.
Blockfolio didn’t share how much the deal cost, but Blockfolio provided information if Trevor would get a significant and fully crypto bonus that would be credited directly to Trevor’s Blockfolio account.
Trevor Lawrence is known to currently prefer Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana in his account but it is not stated what each ratio is of the assets in his wallet. In addition, this collaboration also has a charitable element in accordance with the vision of FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried who wants to make crypto as a donation event. This collaboration also states that there will be a donation of $100,000, equivalent to 1.45 billion rupiah, which will be announced after the NFL Draft.
FTX Enters Sports Industry to Boost Crypto Adoption
Lawrence has signed endorsement deals with Adidas and Gatorade, with many more. Blockfolio parent company, FTX has just signed a 19-year $135 million deal to sponsor the Miami Heat arena naming rights.
The FTX agreement that exists in the sports industry is interpreted by Nader, COO of FTX as a long way to increase crypto adoption
“We still have a long way to go before we approach real attraction with people who own and use crypto in their wallets. FTX Arena gives us a physical presence, and Trevor is someone who can have a personal and human connection to the crypto space. We’re really excited about this arena, Trevor and the other things we’re going to do to get ourselves a little bit more vocal and out there” said Nader.
Blockfolio hopes the partnership with Lawrence will help educate those interested in crypto to become more familiar and comfortable. He will also leverage the app to demonstrate how users can buy, sell and trade cryptocurrencies at no cost.
